What is the difference between a public state university and a public state art college? The people are entirely different. Curriculum in art school is straight to the point. Is a 4 year public college just another scam to take your money and happiness? They give you set hours to take for the year. If you fail any classes, say in the fashion merchandising curriculum, you won't be able to retake it until the year after, sometimes it may not even be avaliable. It is just a way to keep you there longer I think.
Another major difference is that in a public college, students come to school in pajamas. Seriously, what would possess you to literally wake up out of bed and leave your house, without brushing your teeth and applying blush? Is there a mindset, " Hey I look beautiful just the way I am and it's just school right?" WRONG! Do you guys feel sloppy and ugly walking around campus all day in V.S. pink sweatpants and a high school class shirt? Yes I understand, they are sweats that are cute and it's Victoria's Secret. But it does not give you an excuse to roam around the world with them on just because it is pink with yellow polka dots. Let's get real. If you are going to wear them, lets say we dress it up with silver pointy flats,a ruffled shirt and straighten your hair. At least you could say you tryed.
At an art school, I'm pretty sure its a fashion show everyday, which I dont mind. Its fun and everybody is in a friendly competition and will probably get new inspiration. KUDOS.
