Hey!
I'm not moving to NYC, just yet. I'm going to hold off at least until January 2009. The school I was supposed to be attending to finish up was not at all what I expected. I realized I couldn't even find anything that i liked or loved about it. I'm taking off a semester to apply to more schools(reapply to some), build up my portfolio,work,save $$$, and figure out exactly what I want to do. I've always had a busy mind and still til today I want to do everything. I have tons of hobbies and interests. I'm considering Graphic Design, Fashion Marketing and Publishing, Merchandising(is still on), Entrepreneurship,Advertising, Psychology, and Journalism. How do I do what I love and still be able to live comfortably? Seems like a simple question, but the answer is way more complex.
I'm opening up my schooling options also. I only have 2 more years left, so if the city sucks it shouldn't take a toll on me until its time for me to graduate. I'm considering schools in Austin, Atlanta, and L.A. in addition to NY. I'm pretty excited about being able to take off a semester. I definitely needed it because my last semester was really rough. If i end up going to a school in a different city besides NY, I will move to NY after I graduate. I'm in love with NYC and I couldn't see myself not living there.
I'm also getting a new sewing machine! Just the thought of being able to sew again since high school is pretty amazing. There is so many things I want to make that I cannot sadly find in stores. Maybe I could put these ideas in my portfolio? They are just racing through and all over my mind. These next few months im off, I'm going to be tapping into my passions i've been putting on the back burner. I promised myself this summer that i would do a charcoal drawing everyday of the summer. I have yet to start. The summer has been super busy for me but for the fall i must get these things done-drawing,sewing, and designing new clothes for my portfolio.

a little somethin' somethin.
Hey!
I bought this lil' somethin' somethin; from Urban Outfitter's secret sale, which included an additional 20% off of sale items. I knew I needed to take advantage of it. I searched neverending pages of sale items and finally found what I've been looking for the past 2-3 years, ACID WASH! Believe me, I'm ashamed to say I bought a "vintage" piece from UO when I probably could have found it at thrift stores. But trust me, I've searched hundreds of times and they were never my size,or defective, or hideous. I regret a year ago passing up an awesome $5 blue acid wash bomber jacket with over-exaggerated pockets. I still think about it today. Considering I passed up acid wash once, I knew I couldn't pass up an awesome sale that included my future favorite skirt. This skirt is amazing. It's high waist, acid wash, has a split in the back and is so beautiful. And the best thing about it? the 20% off brought my total including shipping to $25.
i promise no more shopping til after tommorow's thrifting and then i'll save some more money, work on my portfolio a bit.
I also love the fact that ebay recommends low bid items that you will most likely like based on what you last searched. Finally!

A few things I bought today...
Today is friday..meaning PAYDAY!...It was so relaxing to shop a bit..I even got a chance to walk around the quarter for a bit. I didn't have a snowball today, but I will be geting some amazing ice cream tonight.
This is the 3rd color in this style from AA that I have. I also have it in Evergreen and in Asphalt. It became my new favorite and also made it so comfortable for my tattoo while healing.
I bought these in black from AA today also. They came in yesterday and usually jeans don't fit me as perfectly as I would like. I tryed them on today and itt fit like a glove. They are so comfy, so stretchy and the side zipper makes it even cuter. The rise hits right at the navel. Pretty cute for my first pair of high waist jeans. Now if only I could add some more high waist shorts to my collection.
I bought this shirt in a size too small and I'm pretty sure it'll stretch out a bit and if not, i don't mind the tightness. I love the classic Transformers, and as everybody should know by now, need to show a little bit of my love for Shia by wearing this shirt. I have a secret obsession with the vintage above the elbow 70s baseball tee style shirts. They are so rare and extremely hard to find. Once I find one, I'm forced to buy it. They're so cute!

OBSESSION
I have a tendency to find a flaw in someone and instantly fall in love with them-whether it's their natural duck shaped lips,too far apart eyes, abnormal height,bushy brows or so happens to be goofy looking. In particular , I'm talking about my favorite fashionable celebrities. It's true, we don't know that much about them, but what we do know is how fashionable, how charming, how mysterious, how he or she carries themselves,their natural beauty, and their passions and talents. Just from those great characteristics, I fall hard for them.
My favorites!
Of course I would put Shia up. He is my love. I basically grew up with him on tv and he is a hot piece and always has been. His fashion style has been kicking in within the past year. He's getting pretty good with it. I love it! He pulls off the flapper look so well. Friends question me what is it about him that makes me go crazy...I seriously don't know. It's just his presence,humor,gorgeous face, nice hair, his nose, and talent. I'm pretty sure he will be the next Tom Hanks.
I have to admit..I hate rihanna for two reasons and two reasons only. 1. She is an ex-gf of Shia 2. Her fashion choices are chic.
ok so the first one is true and the 2nd is obviously sarcastic. 2007 was her year. She cut off her hair, got more tattoos, and hired a great stylist. She could never go wrong with what she wears. If it's hideous, she makes it work. i mean i guess i could love her.
This is the way I like to see my Amy. Orange does so much for her complexion. Even though she is such a trainwreck, she is one of the few artists I love. She has an immense amount of talent,amazing hair, and her fashion choices are great.
Let's face it. Scarlett always gets the fashion note right. Her martian like face is even better. She is beautiful and her acting ability is so passionate. She always happen to be caught off-guard looking her best. I think i love her so much because she is not pin thin and she has huge boobs,like moi. She's a huge inspiration to me to stay true to myself and to get what I want out of life. She's not the best actress, but i'll take it.
Chanel Iman. I couldn't find any blog worthy pictures of her looking her best, but if you've seen her on the runway and in pop pics you know she is so adorable and her style is breaktaking.
Zoe Kravitz did it once again with her haute rocker style Kurt Cobain esque outfit. She has no talent,as far as I know. Word on the street is she sings and is quite possibly doing an album. I probably won't buy it unless it involves full body shots in 5 different outfits. The other day I was watching 90210 and was wondering if the flannel shirt tied around the waist should happen for me. I think i'll make it happen.
It's sad that there are not enough fashionable celebrity men I could call my lovers. Only Shia and Lenny for now.

HIGH WAISTS & Sunglasses
I recieved my shorts in the mail this morning..and they are to absolutely die for! It fits me like a glove...very comfortable..has some stretch in it for my overindulgent days.
