HIGH WAIST

Hi beauts!

My close to year long journey of finding the most perfectly cute high waisted shorts has come to an end. I found them and they are actually in my size! There is no need for me to buy too small high waist shorts just bc I need to have them. Believe me, I was so close to ordering a pair. The almost close to perfect shorts will be in my mailbox soon(I preordered them) and by the looks of it..I'm sure it will be so comfy to wear and ohhh so cute. They have stretch(i may choose to eat fried foods one day), a dark wash( makes me look thinner), and high waisted which also makes me look lean...These are just perfect and I'm pretty sure I'm going to wear them everyday this summer. They will ship out to me on May 7...and I hardly cant wait.

I will probably wear them with wife beaters, tanks and pile on a bunch of vintage gold and colorful necklaces...or maybe just huge earrings.....and on other days I will wear with blousy shirts. Of course I will top them both off with gladiator sandals, wedges or pirate boots.

This has been a good week so far considering I had a HORRIBLE weekend. I got free LARGE coffee from Starbucks yesterday(thats how much I go in there. The employees just hand me out drinks). I had a test today that was spontaneously open book and notes...I'm getting a rental car tommorow and my car has a high possibility of getting fixed.

YAY!

Thrifting adventures!

Thrifting was soo much fun today! I always do so well shopping with my coworker,Ryann. I wish I could have taken pictures of her buys also. She did great. I spent a total of $13. Ironically, that's all I had in my wallet because they do not take credit cards. I scored a zebra figurine in a resting position(I named him Oreo), a black quilted coco chanel purse, black sheer blouse/tunic with billowy sleeves, a black romper with gold buttons and a neon pink fanny pack! YES YES YES!

Where can I get a skinny tie?

Hey guys! I was sent an email asking, "Where can I get a skinny tie?"

One, Thank you for asking! it made me super happy because I posted a blog few weeks ago for New Years showing that skinny ties would look great. Of course, it was worn by none other than Shia Lebeuof. He is so multitalented, driven, gorgeous and stylish.

Any department store or tuxedo shop should have skinny ties. If you don't feel like going to the mall to search for them, I found a website that sells them. Its called www.solidcolorneckties.com. There are skinny ties but also different sizes and styles. The skinny ties also come in over 10 different colors including pink, green, yellow, and stripes. It's only $7.95. Beaut!

Have a good weekend!

Let's face it

Come on. Let's face it. I secretly love guys who has the style of Jeremy from the movie Powder and Shia Lebeouf. It's very simple, clean, stylish, maybe a little bit of a 1920s feel. It could include cardigans, top hats, plain tees, button ups, trousers, pleats, relaxed fitting jeans, oxfords or boots. You get the idea. Here are some cheap finds from Forever 21 Mens.

A modern take on the classic black cardigan.$21

Velvet vest for $22.

This is one of my favorites! It's definitely on my must buy list for myself, but don't get fooled. This is a men's hooded jacket.$44.

Checkboard patterned 6 button cardigan.$26

Black and Purple Striped cardigan with buttons.$24

5th day of shopping...I should be tired.

5th day of shopping, 2nd time at the thrift store this week. This time I went to a different thrift store and one that is closer to my house. I found more chic things today....but it wasn't as amazing as Day 1 of the thrifting. Today I grabbed a miniature stat of a hand painted half owl half cat. Don't ask. It was priced for 2.50, I also got a medieval coined pewter colored necklace for 2.99, an electric blue knit pencil skirt, and a huge satin light blue hair bow. All totaling up to $11.

I'll be adding pictures of my great finds from this whole week, tommorow.

Thrift Store Shopping Adventures

I FINALLY I made it to a thrift store 40 minutes away from my home that I have not been to in about 3 years. This whole week I've been having good shopping days- finding great bargains under $5 at Urban Outfitters, shopping with and getting to know my new coworkers, and today marks the greatest day in my thrift shopping history of great vintage finds.

I found an amazing green, red, and yellow plaid flannel shirt that I tried on top of my outfit for about $2. In which it made my outfit look ten times better. I was wearing a cobalt blue unitard with slouchy deconstructed pirate cream colored boots and a new kids on the block t-shirt. I've been looking for a great plaid men's flannel shirt forever and when I found it earlier this month, I washed it and never saw it again. On a brighter note, today I found a pale blue with a hint of silver lacy slip that is very reminiscent to slips worn in the 40s. I got that for about $3. I also found a skirt that looks very much like something in the current Marc Jacobs fall line. I will wear as a dress. It has a subtle floral print of midnight blue, forest green, and pink. It cost about $2. Totaling up to about $8 plus tax. Great deal I would say, eh?
